Linerless labels are self-adhesive labels supplied without the traditional release backing paper (liner) found on conventional labels. Instead, the label material is coated with a special release surface that allows it to be wound into rolls without sticking to itself.

They can be printed, cut to the required length, and applied directly to products, packages, cartons, or other surfaces. Because there is no backing liner to remove and discard, linerless labels can help reduce material waste, storage requirements, and handling costs.
